ARTBOMB is a carefully curated daily auction featuring an artwork by a rising Canadian art star. It’s like Groupon for art!

For immediate release: Just launched on December 10, 2011 in Toronto, ARTBOMB is a brand new way for artists to expose their work to thousands of potential art buyers. ARTBOMB is a fresh approach to art buying that allows busy professionals a daily peek into a carefully selected cross-section of Toronto’s most exciting art by delivering one work into their inboxes, 5 days a week. Bidding opens at 6 am and closes at 11 pm. Subscribers bid on the work and at the end of the day, the highest bid wins the piece, which is delivered to the buyer the following week.

The artwork – including painting, prints, photography, sculpture, drawing, mixed media and video art – is designed to reflect a broad cross-section of Toronto’s most exciting talent, and is selected by Andrea Carson, an expert in contemporary art and the accomplished founder and publisher of one of Canada’s most widely read culture blogs, http://www.viewoncanadianart.com. Artworks are mostly priced at under $1000. All works are delivered ready to hang.

ARTBOMB is a project by Jim Shedden, Carrie Shibinsky and Andrea Carson.

IndianArtCollectors.com this month features an entirely different concept by Mr. Suresh Gulage: An artist who chose the less followed path and made Architectural Landscapes as his trademark work.
December 2, 2011: Suresh Gulage is a well known name when it comes to giving life to speechless buildings.“Buildings may be mute spectators, but they hold the life of a city” says the artist that defines his ability to observe life. His work would be exclusively available for sale in exhibition section of IndianArtCollectors.com.
Through brushwork and hues, Suresh highlight the beauty of buildings by recreating these marvels using a vibrant colour palette and technique that oscillates between being in-the-face to subtle and suggestive, both instances replete with the exquisiteness of the built form. Suresh Gulage loves the light play and the way the same light illuminates different parts of the building in different ways. His work is highly inspired by the effect that lights, colours, motifs, seasons and day times play on a building making it appear different at varied instances.
A post Graduate in Art, this painter to created his own identity during the early phase of his career. “There are so many artists who paint landscapes, portraits, abstract, there are very few who really paint architectural landscapes. “I wanted to make a name in this genre and I think I have achieved that” says Suresh proclaiming his success without hesitation but without sounding pompous or egoistic.
