New images from Marc Stanes forthcoming exhibition
Jonathan Cooper Park Walk Gallery is pleased to announce ‘Naked
Sculpture,’ a new exhibition from acclaimed South African based
photographer Marc Stanes. The exhibition will be on show from 15
September- 2 October 2010. As official photographer to Mandela Rhodes
Foundation, Stanes also continues to record the life of Nelson
Mandela. 5% of sales will go to Positive Heroes, an AIDS charity in
South Africa. http://positiveheroes.org.za/ . A new book, ‘In Still Light’ focusing on Stanes still life and flower
photography is also being published in September, which explores his
relationship with natural forms over the last 20 years. This will
include forewords by art critic Godfrey Barker and Bronwen Heath. Each photograph is a large format, silver gelatin print in an edition
