Scott McLeod, director and curator of Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art in Toronto, has been appointed curator of the twelfth presentation of Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal, scheduled to take place in September 2011. The announcement was made by Vincent Lavoie, President of the Board of Directors, at the colloquium for the eleventh presentation of the biennale held at the Canadian Centre for Architecture on October 2, 2009. Upon the announcement, McLeod stated that he was “very honoured to be associated with such an outstanding organization” and that he “looked forward to working with the team and their partners and to engaging with the broader community in the city of Montréal.” McLeod, who will continue to fulfill the responsibilities associated with his role at Prefix ICA, assumed his new duties on December 1, 2009.
