Rieko KOGA: FUTURE DIARY / HERE WE ARE*
*Selected Village Voice’s Voice Choice!

One day I said to myself “What do I want to read now?” “What do I want to write now?”
My answer was “My Future Diary.” This artwork started here.
“What words will you say?” It depends on the person, if the future means 10 years later for some or the future means from now for others. This question is very simple and abstract but we can imagine many things from it. “When?” “Where?” “Which language?”

There are 39 questions about your future in the diary. June 2012 in Paris. Rieko KOGA

Catherine Béchard & Sabin Hudon: Free-Fall of Possibilities

Free-Fall of Possibilities is made up of ten automated mechanical units, fishing rods to which are attached tiny vibratory motors. Swiveling freely at the end of the lines, they become vibrating baits, artificial lures that come into contact with glass containers of various shapes and sizes. This launches a mechanical ballet, a kind of resonant vertigo, a choreography producing a multitude of aleatory, sudden and unexpected sounds.

Boris Oicherman: Between the Cloud and the Clock

Between the Cloud and the Clock aims to create an event from its very being in a room; an event that also acts as a facilitator of a social space – perhaps similarly to the way a campfire functions. Two incandescent bulbs hang above two floor-based electric fans, oriented upwards. The bulbs constantly revolved around the fans, set in motion by the airflow, creating a continuous monotonous movement of light and shadows in the space.
