Artists present.
Textiles by Noelle Hamlyn, sculpture by Kim Harcourt, works on Mylar by Linda Martinello and oil paintings by Matthew Tarini. This exhibition contrasts each artist’s distinct approach to subject matter and media: detailed portraits from a daily commute, a delicate interpretation of a Hudson’s Bay coat created from tea bags, fresh and spontaneous landscape paintings, stoneware vessels recalling seed pods and machinery. About the Gallery
Telephone Booth Gallery is located in the Junction, a bourgeoning west end Toronto neighbourhood. The Gallery is named after its mascot - a vintage 1950’s Bell Canada telephone booth prominently displayed in the gallery’s front window. The gallery’s primary focus is to present emerging artists that each express a sense of integrity and innovation in their critical art practice. With a focus on the promotion of talented young artists, the gallery will also occasionally host invitational exhibitions of mid-career artists along with selected contemporary fine craftspeople and designers.
